Bridging your MODA Tokens
Creating a multi-chain DAO and building cross-chain tooling for the music industry may mean bridging tokens to different chains from time to time. The following section will help break this process down for each chain and should help to provide clarity around the best way to go about it.
Polygon
Why now: Polygon offers a very low-gas trading environment for MODA via Quickswap. Liquidity is lower than Ethereum but trading is much cheaper. You may also find other yield-generation opportunities.
In future: MODA DAO intends to deploy NFT minting contracts and other Music3 tools to Polygon.
How to:
- Connect your wallet to the Polygon RPC (this is most easily done using Metamask wallet). You can find a how to guide here: https://medium.com/stakingbits/setting-up-metamask-for-polygon-matic-network-838058f6d844
- Once this is done, connect your wallet to Anyswap bridge using the Ethereum network. https://anyswap.exchange/#/bridge
- After this, load the $MODA token Ethereum contract address into the given field
- It should look like this:
- The Polygon MODA contract address should populate on the other side of the bridge
- All that’s left to be done is add how many tokens you’d like to bridge across to the Polygon network
- If you’d like to bridge back to Ethereum, the process is the exact same, just in reverse (i.e. connecting your wallet to the Polygon network, loading the Polygon MODA address into the bridge and adding how many tokens you’d like to bridge back to Ethereum)
Fantom:
Why now: Fantom offers a fast and very low-gas trading environment for MODA via Spookyswap. Liquidity is lower than Ethereum but trading is much cheaper.
In future: MODA DAO intends to deploy NFT minting contracts and other Music3 tools to Fantom, you may also find other yield-generation opportunities.
- Connect your wallet to the Fantom Opera RPC (this is most easily done using Metamask wallet). You can find a guide here: https://docs.fantom.foundation/tutorials/set-up-metamask
- Once this is done, connect your wallet to Anyswap bridge using the Ethereum network. https://anyswap.exchange/#/bridge
- After this, load the $MODA token Ethereum contract address into the given field
- It should look like this:
- The Fantom MODA contract address should populate on the other side of the bridge
- All that’s left to be done is add how many tokens you’d like to bridge across to the Fantom network
- If you’d like to bridge back to Ethereum, the process is the exact same, just in reverse (i.e. connecting your wallet to the Fantom Opera network, loading the Fantom MODA address into the bridge and adding how many tokens you’d like to bridge back to Ethereum)
NEAR Protocol (Aurora EVM):
Why now: Near offers a fast and low-gas trading environment for MODA via NearPAD. Liquidity is lower than Ethereum but trading is much cheaper. You can also generate yield by farming a MODA/PAD pair on NearPAD.
In future: MODA DAO intends to deploy NFT minting contracts and other Music3 tools to Near,
- Aurora is an EVM compatible chain that works in parallel with Near Protocol
- Connect your wallet to the Aurora RPC (this is most easily done using Metamask wallet). This website will do it for you: https://chainlist.org/
- Once this is done, connect your wallet to Rainbow bridge using the Ethereum network. https://rainbowbridge.app/
- After this, load the $MODA token Ethereum contract address into the given field
- It should look like this:
- All that’s left is add the number of tokens you’d like to bridge across to the Aurora network
- If you’d like to bridge back to Ethereum, the process is the same in reverse (i.e. connecting your wallet to the Aurora network, loading the Near Protocol MODA address into the bridge and adding how many tokens you’d like to bridge back to Ethereum)
