People of MODA DAO; Harvey Tadman

Over the last 6 months the vision for Music3 has been shared one-on-one with as many music-industry insiders who would listen! It’s time to spill the beans on who they are and share some personal insights into the launch members, their partnering businesses, artists and advisors.

We’re giving you the inside scoop by releasing bios and interviews from the launch members, but remember; it’s you, your friends, your fans and favourite artists that will help make sure Web3 changes music forever.

Today we meet Harvey Tadman, Co-Founder of Ayita Management and renowned Music Executive.

Harvey Tadman is an esteemed music manager and music executive who is considered among the ranks of other important music figures. He co-founded the prestigious AYITA and has managed the career of Grammy winning NERO. Ayita is also responsible for the careers of FISHER, Chris Lake, 220 Kid, Noizu and many other huge talents.

What do you love most about music?

For me, nothing beats the sea of smiling faces at a live gig. Seeing the positivity that music is bringing to people and knowing that you are doing some good for the world is what I love the most.

Over the years, what has frustrated you the most about the music business?

The double edged-sword of tech has been a rollercoaster for the music industry over the last 20 years. While the tools at an artists disposal have increased, there are still gatekeepers that prevent artists from truly being able to connect directly with their fan bases, and be able to market directly to their listeners, and to be able to be hands on in real time with the streaming of their music. The frustrating system of twice yearly accounting, necessary auditing of the statements, and an unfair and imbalanced share of royalties across artists is outdated and needs to change.

Why are you excited about Web3 and MODA DAO?

The structure of Web3 and its layered apps can bring real positive change to the inefficiency of the music business. Smart Contracts that can effectively pay rights holders in real time will give new freedom to artists, songwriters and producers. With MODA DAO comes a fresh approach to the structure and royalty splits of the traditional music business and a chance to do away with the antiquated bureaucracy inhibiting the creativity of artists.

Now that you’ve met Harvey, we encourage everyone to get amongst MODA DAO by visiting our Telegram, Discord, Twitter and Website, all linked below!
